Joanna Steele in field, founder of Made My Dia

How it started

Hi, I’m Joanna, originally from London and living near Barcelona. Yep, it’s not an unheard story…an English person moving to Barcelona in search of sun and sea.

But what struck me was how much more there is to Barcelona than its postcard image and how little people knew about the hidden gems. In less than 40 minutes you have snowy peaks, hidden deltas, and valleys: the "wild gardens" that even locals sometimes don’t know about.

Embedded in this beautiful landscape are deep-rooted legends, from the fire of the Correfoc and the towering Gegants to the romance of Sant Jordi, and all set against the Catalan Art Nouveau and Gothic architecture. There is so much for you to discover…

As a creative, and graduate from Central Saint Martins, I am bringing you a creative offer that immerses you in nature and uses the outdoors as your inspiration, always with a reference to authentic Catalan traditions and history.
